Ismet Imset is a Turkish journalist who became well known for his relatively unbiased, detailed analyses of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the 1980s and into the mid-1990s when he retired because of governmental pressure. His reports appeared in the English-language Briefing and Turkish Daily News. He also published his reports as a book, The PKK: A Report on Separatist Violence in Turkey (1973-1992) (1992).
