SERHILDAN

   In English, this means "uprising," and in Arabic it is intifadah, a term sometimes used by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) to refer to its attempts to arouse a Kurdish civilian uprising in southeastern Turkey, particularly in the 1990s.
